New Replacement Dwelling, Moreton Morrell

For a Private Client

The proposals are located within a very sensitive rural location and within the Feldon Parkland Special Landscape Area as defined by the Stratford-on-Avon District Council planning policy. The proposals seek to demolish the existing buildings on site with a proposed replacement dwelling and detached garage together with a comprehensive landscaping proposal. The site sits on an end plot of a private drive with open pasture fields to the north, south and west. The plot of land also sits within an elevated position within the wider setting and the visual impact of the new development was reviewed at length prior to the application being made with mitigating measures provided as part of the overall proposals.

Harper Architects acted in the lead role and co-ordinated the planning application throughout for this project in Moreton Morrell, Warwick. The replacement dwelling and detached garage together with the wider scheme proposals has been designed to a style befitting and in keeping with the character area and neighbouring adjacent buildings which delivers visual enhancements to the site and wider context. This application seeks to gain full planning permission for a new five-bedroom family home all with double bedrooms. Renewable low carbon technology is also proposed with possible ground source heating being provided. The proposals use a limited palette of materials to give coherence to the overall design all in accordance with planning policy CS.9 section 1 of the Stratford-on-Avon Core Strategy with the predominant use of stone and render visible in the proposals.
