For a Commercial Client

Harper Architects is currently working with a commercial client to bring about new student accommodation close to Coventry city centre. The scheme had already received planning by others with Harper Architects now acting in the lead role from RIBA Stage 4 onwards.

The scheme sees the demolition of an existing single storey prefab building with the erection of a new two storey building providing a total of 8 student units. Each unit will be self-contained providing its own separate bathroom and small kitchen together with an open plan area for sleeping and studies.

Harper Architects is acting as the lead consultant and organising all pre-construction activities. This includes liaising with the design team to bring about a Building Control compliant scheme, providing information for Planning Condition sign off and carrying out the Principal Designer role under the H&S CDM regulations. Following this will be the tender selection process and working with the contractor onsite, administering the building contract and carrying the site inspections until building completion.
