Residential Extension, Solihull

For a Private Client

The proposals are in Solihull, West Midlands within an urban setting. This 1930’s semi-detached house needed to be fully refurbished and reconfigured to make it work for the owners and their growing family. The original property had largely remained untouched from its original formation with gave the current owners a great canvas to work from. The original kitchen was far too small and confined for more modern day living which isolated users from on another. By adding a new ground floor open plan extension at the rear of the house, the family now has space to cook, eat and relax together, whilst having greater access to the garden.

The new opening plan ground floor now contains kitchen, dining and snug with separate utility. The separate formal lounge accommodation to the front of the property was also retained.

Harper Architects were involved from inception until completion including site supervision for onsite activities during construction.
